Nick Tomalin
Composer and Pianist

Nick is a graduate of Leeds College of Music and in 1993 completed the post-graduate course in Jazz at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Since then he has been working as a freelance musician and music teacher in London.

Nick has performed at many prestigious jazz venues including The 606 Club, The Jazz Café and The Vortex, both with his own band and as part of other projects. He has also played with some of the country's leading jazz musicians including Jim Mullen, Don Weller and Alan Barnes. He is a member of the group Triessence which also features Mark Allaway on saxes and Dominic Howles on bass. Last year the group released their first CD, "Catch the Wind" on Guild Music celebrating the music of Bill Evans. Their next album will be out later this year, also featuring drummer Jeff Lardner. Nick has recently put together a new band 'Silent Majority' to perform his arrangements and songs, featuring vocalist Nia Lynn.
